The last step....

Hey Everyone!!
Meghan and I have only a few hours left before we board our plane to the Philippines! This past week we have said goodbye to many folks, packed our home, and our church has prayed over us and our ministry. We can't express how much each person has meant to us. As we prepare to travel we are reflecting on our time here and the things God has shown us to prepare us for what is ahead. A great number of people have asked us if we are excited and we are, but there is so much more that we are feeling. We have heard a call from God and we have openly accepted it. God has blessed us with minimal hiccups in our preparation and we have already seen how much we have grown just since February (when we were offered the positions at CAB). God's call isn't always easy, though. This past week has shown us that although God has an awesome plan (and it is the right plan) it is not always easy to leave others behind.
As I am typing, we have less than 48 hours before we board our first plane. It's scary, exhilarating and sobering all at once. We have been trying to wrap our minds around the tasks that have been set before us. Meghan will be teaching a new grade (2nd) and I get to think about Bible instruction in a new way!    - Craig

Amen Hubby!  I totally agree- we are excited and yet- there is so much more than that which we cannot even begin to express.  We have one more full day here in America and I can't even comprehend what that means.  I've been grieving the life we are leaving behind and I am sad to move on. But what can be better than following the Lord's calling? Even as I am sad and grieving what is being left behind, God's mercy and love for me is unfailing. He grants me the struggle and sadness I need to process what a big deal this all is- yet peace and joy with the new beginning.  - Meghan

We want to take a moment to thank all of our friends and family who have made this transition such a special time.

Tress (and friends) Thank you for having one last get together with us, it was so special to spend extra time with you all before I leave. I wear my Winchester bracelet every day and whole heartedly expect to find someone else wearing one in all my 27 hours of airport time! :)  (we'll see!)

NC Durfors- Thank you for a great week at the beach! It was wonderful to spend so much time with you all! Thank you for your support and love in our lives.

"The Youth"- Thank you for your kind words of affirmation to our ministry and friendships with you all. We truly love you all so deeply and are so excited to remain a part of your lives. We are so proud of you all.  The frisbee is packed and we are excited to teach some new students the awesomeness of ultimate! Thank you for the slideshow and for letting us be a part of your lives.  Even if you were not at church Sunday- we are so thankful for every way you have touched our lives!

Our Kernstown Church Family-  Thank you for your continued support in our ministries.  Thank you for praying for our ministry, we look forward to keeping connected with you. We have been blessed with good friends and mentors in this church family.

The Knicks-  We have truly loved being a part of your family these last 5 years- and look forward to continuing this for many many years to come.  You love us and support us unconditionally and we thank you for everything. (and thanks for having AMAZING kids!)

The Graham Family- Meghan's parents-  You are truly are family to us.  You see the good the bad and the ugly and love us just the same.  You are always so supportive of us- and we appreciate that so much.  Your home has been our oasis these past 5 years and we truly love spending time with you both as parents, mentors and good friends.  Thank you is not enough.

To everyone- Words cannot express how much your love and support means to us. Thank you for your prayers and support!!

-Craig and Meghan
